Gerry started McCann Electronics in 1967. He loved repairing equipment and sharing his knowledge of electronics with others. Everyone knew if they had a question or problem they could call Gerry and get the answer. He was kind and generous with his time and talents.

He attended the national electronic conventions for over 35 years, hosting his “Best Idea Contest” for fellow technicians and associates. State electronic associations would call on him to present business management seminars for their members. Often on these trips, he would visit area service centers during the day and present the seminars at night. His call in radio talk show, “Living with Home Electronics” was on the air, Saturday mornings for 24 years, in the greater New Orleans area. Gerry won numerous awards in his chosen field of electronics, and was inducted into the Electronic Hall of Fame in 2004.

He was known throughout the country for his great positive attitude and his caring, sharing nature. We his family, and our McCann Electronics employee family, hope you enjoy this archive of his interesting and informative company newsletters.
